CHERRY BLOSSOM AND BEE GREETING CARD – “SPRING WILL COME!”
I absolutely love and long for spring after a cold, wet, Oregon winter. I created this painting in winter 2019, specially for a contest for the Oregon Cherry Blossom festival - an annual event at the Oregon State Capitol. And guess what? It won first place and was used for their poster design in 2020! As sometimes happens in life, the festival was cancelled in 2020, due to COVID 19 concerns, so the posters were never used. Nevertheless, this image holds firm in it's promise of better days ahead.
