Watercolor Classes

Watercolor Realism Basics

Have you ever longed to paint beautiful flowers, pollinators, or still life in vivid detail? This four-week class will allow participants to learn some watercolor realism basics, with beautiful color and transparent painting techniques. The subject matter will reflect a garden theme. Appropriate for beginners or intermediate artists wanting to learn realism. Please note, there is no need to be accomplished at drawing to take this course. The emphasis will be on painting. Transfer drawing techniques will be utilized. This will be a time to get acquainted with the process in a low-pressure environment and have fun to boot!
This class will be held at the Art Department, 254 Commercial St. NE, Salem, OR 97301. It is made up of four consecutive Saturday afternoons, 1:00 - 4:00, beginning October 15, 2022.

Commissions

Would you like a customized painting?

I will be happy to work with you, as my time allows. I have done commissions for pets, birds, flowers, farm animals and special themes. I am open to conversation about the subject matter of your interest.

Requirements: 
* A high-resolution digital photo, with sufficient light and contrast. 
* Adequate time margin to get it done - depending upon time and subject, the paintings take 10 to 40 hours to complete. Keep in mind September - December fills up quickly. In addition to painting, I also hold a full time job, so take this into considertion.
* 50% down when I start the painting; 50% down upon delivery
* Advance agreements on painting specifics
* I reserve the right to decline or terminate an agreement if things are not working out. Full refund will be given in that case.

You get:
* A painting you will cherish that is created especially for you!
* Satisfaction guaranteed. I will refund the deposit if you are not happy with the results.
* Your painting will be completed within the requested time frame barring unforeseen emergencies. 

Estimated price range:
$200 to $650, depending upon size and detail. Sizes begin at 8 x 11. The largest I have painted to date is 18 x 24
