Dahlias, to me, are the queen of the summer garden. They are proud, resilient and ever-so productive. This is a painting I did from a small variety growing under our front window. I was captured by the beautiful variegation and the lovely contrast of the yellow-green and the orchid pinks.
The painting measures 18 x 22 framed. It is professionally framed and matted with plexi-glass. It was framed to the specifications of the Watercolor Society of Oregon Fall Show, 2023, when it was on exhibit. The mat is white, and the frame is black metal. It is watercolor on cold press paper.
